Education Program

Open school | Mainstreaming Children | Remedial Classes

At Nai Disha, we ensure that children from underprivileged communities do not miss out on education due to socio-economic barriers. Our interventions focus on bridging learning gaps, mainstreaming children into formal schools, and sustaining their education through structured academic and holistic development programs.

Who We Support

Our education program caters to children across different stages of learning:

Early Learners (Primary Tutorial Program)

  • Children enrolled in government schools and private schools (EWS quota)
  • Intervention to bridge learning gaps and support academic progress
  • Structured day program: Children come directly after school, have lunch, engage in activities, and attend tutorials

Children Who Cannot Be Mainstreamed (Open School Program)

  • Migrant children and those who missed foundational years of schooling
  • Saksharta Classes to prepare them for Class 8, 10, and 12 through NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling)
  • Self-paced learning through the Akshar-Matra Module, enabling quick academic recovery

Mainstream School Students (Mentoring & Academic Support)

  • Children in government/private schools needing extra academic guidance
  • Supported through Evening Tutorials, Annual Scholarships, and Care & Share Mentoring Programs

What We Do

1. Nai Disha Open School – A Second Chance at Education

For children who cannot enter or continue in mainstream schools, we offer:

Without structured intervention, these children are at risk of being drawn into negative influences, labor, or unsafe environments. Nai Disha ensures they remain engaged in a safe, learning-focused space.

2. Primary Tutorial Program – Bridging Gaps in Government & EWS Schools

Many first-generation learners struggle in formal school settings due to lack of academic support at home. Our Primary Tutorial Program provides:

3. Holistic Development – Learning Beyond Academics

Education at Nai Disha is not just about books—we ensure every child develops essential life skills through:

These activities channel children’s energy positively, keeping them motivated and away from negative influences.

4. Mentoring & Sustained Support for Mainstreamed Children

Children from low-income families often lack academic guidance at home. Our Care & Share Mentoring Program helps them navigate:

We also provide Annual Scholarships to support deserving students in sustaining their education.

Challenges We Address

1. Floating Population & Learning Gaps

Frequent migration disrupts education, making continuity difficult. Our Open School model ensures children receive uninterrupted learning despite relocation.

2. Older Siblings Missing School Due to Family Responsibilities

  • Many older children stay home to care for younger siblings while parents work.
  • Some parents delay schooling for older children until younger ones can accompany them.
  • Mothers, often unaware or helpless, struggle to prioritize education.

3. Lack of Awareness & Academic Guidance

Many first-generation learners and their parents are unaware of school systems, career paths, or support options.
